Total Health Show, Toronto 2014 – Live Longer in Wellness

The 37th annual Total Health Show (4th to 6th April – Metro Toronto Convention Centre) will focus on Longevity – living in vibrant good health from birth to death, without the chronic problems of old age.  Topics such as diet, whole organic foods, ancient grains, concentrated nutrients, food allergies, understanding  medical treatment options, and detoxification methods will be highlighted by celebrated speakers and exhibitors as they present the latest, cutting edge information on natural health to the thousands of regular attendees.


Dr. David Brownstein will discuss natural hormones and nutritional therapies for thyroid disorders, which type of salt is good for your health, and why iodine is necessary for optimum health. Dr. Brownstein is a family physician and medical director of the Center for Holistic Medicine. He has lectured internationally to physicians and clinicians about his success in using natural hormones and nutritional therapies, and authored 11 books including Overcoming Arthritis, Vitamin B12 for Health, Overcoming Thyroid Disorders, The Miracle of Natural Hormones, The Guide to a Gluten-Free Diet, and The Soy Deception.


Bruce Lourie & Rick Smith, authors of Slow Death by Rubber Duck and Toxin Toxout, will show how easily our bodies absorb harmful chemicals from our food, air and household products, and methods for removal of these toxins. Bruce Lourie is a leading environmental thinker, writer and speaker. He is President of the Ivey Foundation and is a director of several environmental and energy organizations in Canada and the US. Rick Smith is a prominent Canadian author and environmentalist and Executive Director of the Broadbent Institute.  Smith was Executive Director of Environmental Defence for almost ten years.


Lorna Vanderhaeghe, Canada's leading women's natural health expert, will show how to reverse aging, look fabulous and feel great! Lorna Vanderhaeghe, MSc, is Canada's leading women's natural health expert and has been researching nutritional medicine for over 30 years. With degrees in nutrition and biochemistry, she is the author of 11 books including A Smart Woman’s Guide to Hormones and A Smart Woman’s Guide to Weight Loss. In 2009, Lorna won the Canadian Health Food Association's most prestigious award, the Hall of Fame Award, and in 2012 was listed as one of Canada’s top one hundred female entrepreneurs.


The Total Health Show attracts an average of 20,000 visitors each year to sample new products, participate in debates, update information and knowledge, and to meet leading innovators in the natural health field.  This year, The Total Health Show will offer over 60 international speakers on three main theatres, two exhibition hall demo stages, a raw café oasis, spa oasis and over 200 exhibits devoted to a natural healthy lifestyle.
