In celebration of Women's Day, the women who are currently enrolled in the Women's Employment Resource Centre of Oxford County Woman Studies are hosting " A Garden for Everyone. Everyone in a Garden" event on May 10th, 2016.

Organizers hope to promote the importance of nutrition to the community, and to build strength, resilience and nutritional knowledge to support one's life-long journey of development. We can never overemphasize the importance of health. Therefore, these women hope with this encouragement they can be an integral; part of Oxford County's health and wellbeing goal.

To reach this goal, WERC's Woman Studies kindly requests your support to be able to provide each attendee with the opportunity to begin growing their own herbs and vegetables. In addition, the women hope to execute their plans to start a small community garden for future members. Annually the centre supports nearly 3,000 women in Oxford County by enabling economic sufficiency through the discovery and development of knowledge, skills, internal resources and social supports.
